At Home Methadone Withdrawal Success

Hello Tibor,

Thank you for responding to my email. It was very helpful and inspiring to know that not only do you have a GREAT stay at home guide to detoxing from various addictive substances, but you stand behind what you offer even as much as giving me a number to call and talk to you direct.

I was not able to watch the first couple of videos in their entirety at first and was not able to truly understand what to expect, to do and who to reach out to. I finally tried to watch the first 1.5 hour video and was able to watch it from start to finish and what I learned changed my withdrawal experience from horrible to manageable in a matter of minutes. Yes I said minutes. I was not getting enough water into my system and was dealing with migraines after taking all my new minerals and vitamins. So I needed to find out which one was triggering my headaches. The one thing I cut out was the Emergen C, boy was this wrong. Even though it is hard to drink or eat, I knew from watching the first video I needed to get the Emergen C in my body. I opened a bottle of water and dumped 3 packets in it and drank it down. 5 minutes later I started feeling better, a lot better. I now take between 7 and 9 packets a day and can say that most withdrawal feelings have been at an all time low.

Just so people know, I have been on methadone for 7 years and was taking between 60-80 mg per day at one time. I am now at 20 mg a day, 10 mg twice a day and will be going to 10 mg per day in 3 days. Tapering off seems to me to be much better than cold turkey. Each person is different and your doctor knows your situation. I thought going from 60 mg a day to 10 mg a day in 12 days was a bit fast, but I wanted out and was willing to give it a try. With Tibor’s program (the vitamins, minerals, yogurt and protein shakes) it is by far the easiest withdrawal I have ever had to do. For those of you who do not know me this is not my first detox rodeo, it is my 3rd and LAST. I still have to deal with my chronic jaw pain, but I am willing to try other things than pain meds

Tibor, if there is anyone that has a similar issue like mine and they would like to talk to me, I would have no problem if you send them my email address  let them know that I do have some days that are better than others and that it may take 2 days for me to get back to them, but I am here to help in any way I can. We will BEAT this.

Thank you again Tibor,

God Bless,

Mark G, Texas

  1. Hello,
I am combing the net for GOOD information about Methadone Detox. I have been on 6 mgs for three years and desperately want out of this merry go down. Myy addiction started with alcohol and went to Heroine after my 4th Birthday and only did that mistake for 7 mjonths before “joining” a Methadone Clinic. The worst mistake I ever made along with countless of others. Any help at all would be so greatly recieved. I know it is a bio-psycho-social disease and any support or advice anything would be or could be my life-saver. Thank you for sharing all your experiences for us to read and cling on to for hope!!! Laura
