Serotonin, Ecstasy and the Crash
A young woman took ecstasy for one night at a concert. She suffered for 10 days after. Now she’s wondering if she did any permanent damage to herself. Here’s her story.
She’s a 20 year old smaller woman. She was sold 1 ecstasy pill and was later told it was a ‘quad stack’, meaning 4 doses of X in one pill. She had a powerful trip that evening. The following is her account of what happened over the next 10 days.
An Ecstasy Crash
For one evening she says she felt extremely good, enjoyed it for one night.
After taking ecstasy she says she felt on:
The 1st day, I felt like a zombie. Totally lifeless, I felt like I was dead, an empty shell.
For day 2 and 3, I went through extreme crashes. I had anxiety and panic attacks that were so bad I thought I was going to die – I freaked out because I felt like I was going to stop breathing
1 week later, I had a really bad nightmare.
Now 10 days after taking ecstasy I have lower back pain in my spine area
I’m really worried about permanent damage, mentally or physically; wondering if I have depleted my serotonin levels.
Ecstasy Detox, Ecstasy Crash
Detoxing from ecstasy is different than an ecstasy crash. A detox off of ecstasy, properly done, removes the damaging effects experienced or created by taking ecstasy pills.
We have created an intensive detox program on how to detox from psychotropic drugs like ecstasy. It’s called At home drug withdrawal on drugrehabadvisor.com
Knowing how to detox from the harmful effects of ecstasy is the key to getting healthy again and counteracting the damage you’ve done to yourself while partying.
