Extended Withdraw Symptoms – How To End Withdrawals?
Are you having withdrawal symptoms that seem to never end when attempting to stop using pharmaceutical drugs? How long will this go on? And more importantly, can we end these horrible feelings so I can stay off drugs? Yes to all the above. I work with many detox programs and natural medicine centers that end protracted withdrawals rapidly, sometimes within a day or so. The full treatment will take longer, but the awful withdraws are ended quickly.
Pharmaceutical Withdrawal Symptoms
If your feeling foggy, depressed, grief stricken, achy, insomnia, fatigued, headaches, hopeless, anxiety, nauseous, can’t eat or other conditions after coming off of meds or drugs months ago, you are suffering from PAWS.
The longer a person was on medications or street drugs, the longer their withdraws could last if they just do the usual and ’suffer through it’ or ‘take these meds instead’. Emotion adjusting drugs bleed people dry of natural health and well being in the long run. 6 months is a long time to be on meds. Years is a very long time.
Extended Withdraw Symptoms – Emotional & Physical Dependency
Extended withdrawal symptoms from pharmaceuticals can go on for 6 months to 2 years if one just continues to do the same things they’ve been doing – juggle medications, try to treat the problem themselves, take a couple more vitamins, etc. I’m all about more nutrition but, a different and more intensive approach is required to properly combat extended withdrawals.
The worst recorded withdrawal symptoms are experienced by people having to ween off of or withdraw from Benzodiazapine and anti-depressant type of drugs.
Withdraw Symptoms – Cause & Cure
The cause of PAWS seems to be a burn out of and burn up of the bodies natural ability to produce neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters aren’t drugs. Neurotransmitters are messengers the nerves use to tell the body how to respond to life situations. Crying all day because one feels bad is not the appropriate response to an everyday situation.
People respond strangely when their bodies and nervous symptoms aren’t functioning properly. Stress, accidents, nutritional deficiencies, toxic overload, drug or alcohol use or abuse, etc all burn out neurotransmitter function, production and replacement. Anti-depressant, SSRI and other drugs don’t build up neurotransmitters. In fact SSRI drugs create neurotransmitter deficiency. That’s a scary condition to experience and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
The good news is there is a way to rapidly build up your capacity to build up neurotransmitter production and get your body acting properly. We want you to react normally to life. Withdrawing from medical drugs sometimes requires nutrients, special holistic treatments, IVs, amino acids and integrative medical supervision to properly function again. Parkinson’s with unknown causes, will be on the increase if psych drugs are continually doled out to otherwise normal people.

I’ve been taking 2 types of anti depressants for 4 yrs & after having a panic attack one night not too long ago & an onslought of sucidal thoughts, I abruptly quick taking them & have been going through horrible withdrawls for about a month now. This article is so informative because no doctor tells you that taking anti-depressants for an extended period of time is bad for you & no one encourages you to wean off or just quit taking the drugs. Instead they want to swith you to something else (usually something you never even heard of) or use you as a guinea pig for trying out new anti-depressants that have’nt even hit the market yet. I’m fortunate that I have a supportive husband to help me through this although I still feel alone because he can’t know for sure exactly what I’m going through. I have faith that I will get better though the battle continues.

Amanda,
26 April 2010, 11:12 pmthere is no need to suffer, guess or feel like an experiment on anti-depressants. Minimally you can start our at home detox program to safely get help off of anti-depressants or ideally get fully treated at a rehab center so you don’t need the anti-depressants again. Contact drug rehab advisor for help getting off anti-depressants.

Hey, I’m back & happy to report that I’m no longer having withdrawal symptoms & I am actually happier OFF the anti-depressants than I ever was on them! I am no longer taking Trazadone to sleep at night & I wake up feeling refreshd & happy from natural sleep! I wouldn’t however, reccomend going through withdrawal symptoms on your own as I did because it is both pyshical & mental torture. I could not afford treatment for the withdrawals as we are on a fixed income & I currently have no health insurance (I’m getting some soon though).
