Pharmaceutical Addiction
Pharmaceutical Addiction or Dependency?
There is a way to end pharmaceutical addiction or dependency. I’ll explain why you should work very intently at ending pharmaceutical addiction in this drug rehab advisor article.
Going to your doctor, regardless of where they’ve trained in today’s world, is like visiting a pharmaceutical front man. The MD went to med schools where the curriculum is 70% written by pharmaceutical companies.
If you’re hoping for an unbiased opinion, you better talk to a doctor who was trained in the 1970’s and preferably earlier. A western medicine doctor has been trained to symptom diagnose and not look for causes. Your MD has been trained through a pharmaceutical curriculum designed to sell a 1/2 trillion dollars of drugs per year.
Pharmaceutical Dependency
Becoming dependent on pharmaceuticals begins by not correcting a real problem.
Real problems usually break down into 3 different fields: Emotional, Physical, Social
Pharmaceutical Addiction and Emotional Problems
People do have good and bad times in life. Losing a loved one or losing hope due to a bad economy can depress a person. Being saddened by loss is normal. Not being able to process or work through a bad loss would require some help with special counseling designed to properly address those situations. DrugRehabAdvisor works with special counselors who can help with emotional upsets as well.
Pharmaceutical Addiction and Physical Problems
The most common cause of extended pain is car or motor vehicle accidents followed by surgery and a long bout of pain killers or psych meds. Psych meds are prescribed increasingly for pain as that’s one of the main functions of psych meds: pain killers and sensation blockers or stimulators.
Sometimes the physical problem of not being able to sleep due to pain will addict a person to pharmaceuticals. Other times people aren’t sleeping due to emotional or social upsets.
Pharmaceutical Addiction and Social Problems
The real problem may be social anxiety, depression, unhappiness. Or due to guilt or feelings of disconnection people feel uneasy and often end up with a prescription in their hand and pills they now believe they’re addicted to.
Social problems are flags waving that tell us we need to work on a part of our lives. Ignoring these red flags of social discomfort, we can and often do become pharmaceutical customers for life. Social problems have caused people much grief.
Fortunately social problems are best handled by living or by seeking specialized social education programs. Toastmasters, volunteering, running clubs etc offer incredible opportunities to gently work on gaining social skills – or social comforts.
Are You a Pharmaceutical Addict?
The majority of the clients who contact me are people who have been given palliative pharmaceutical or counseling treatment. Palliative care means moderating pain or sorrow by making it easier to bear without curing the problem at all.
Why do people become pharmaceutical addicts? Because the underlying social, emotional or physical problem is still sitting there stirring up trouble as soon as one attempt to withdrawal or detox from any pharmaceutical. This is one of the reasons why people are switched back and forth between pharmaceutical drugs. The problems was never resolved in the first place.
Ending Pharmaceutical Addiction
A very skilled integrative doctor plus excellent life coaches and a special health and detox center are often required to end pharmaceutical addiction. Don’t belittle an addiction or dependency to pharmaceutical drugs. These are the toughest drugs to get off of.
I’ve made my career around helping people overcome pharmaceutical addiction after I discovered that the traditional MDs and even the best specialists from Johns Hopkins, The Mao Clinic, etc make a mess out of a person’s health with further pharmaceutical prescriptions.
Getting people off of pharmaceuticals is a specialty which should be turned over to specialists in this field. To learn more about ending pharmaceutical addiction see the detox & withdrawal advice page on drugrehabadvisor.com
Xanax Detox, Paxil Detox and lorazepam (Ativan) Detox: All of these prescription pills are benzodiazapine drugs. When benzo detox is difficult to beat, benzodiazapine detox often requires the greatest knowledge and skills of medical / holistic doctors. If you are easily withdrawing from benzo’s, you’re one of the lucky ones.
