Remedies for Vicodin Withdrawal You Need To Know About

Should you quit cold turkey or wean off Vicodin?  What is the fastest most comfortable way to withdraw from Vicodin?  And what can you do when you don’t have the finances or the time to go to a state-of-the-art medical detox?

We’ll answer these questions and tell you about a do-it-at-home solution to withdraw from a long- endured Vicodin dependency.

The Damage of Vicodin & Its Side Effects

While Vicodin might have been in good faith prescribed by some medical doctors to treat pain,  many of these Vicodin users fall victim of its addictive nature.   They want off the medication but feel hostage of its painful withdrawal symptoms.

Their options are to struggle with painful withdrawal symptoms, or with the grueling side-effects of Vicodin, which include: addiction, upset stomach, nausea, altered mental status ,dizziness, light headedness, allergic reaction, seizures, clammy skin, hallucinations,, altered sex drive, constipation, hearing loss and many more.

Weaning off or Quitting Cold Turkey?

There is a whole slew of people who attempted to quick Vicodin abruptly, without any  medical advice, and had a hard time coping with the withdrawal symptoms, as described by this online testimonial: “I felt really horrible and went nearly insane (trying to withdrawal myself from Vicodin)”.

But what’s more disturbing is that many of those who sought medical advice did not resolve the problem as well because many doctors fail to look for hidden medical conditions before weaning off their patient off Vicodin.  Basically, doctors merely treat the client’s chief complaint based on the symptoms. In other words, what is being treated are the symptoms and not the root of the symptoms.

This may result in more severe “withdrawal symptoms” which are really not withdrawal symptoms, but symptoms of hidden medical conditions. Some of these medical conditions may have been caused by the use of Vicodin while others had no relation to Vicodin whatsoever.  But in all cases, Vicodin had masked these symptoms.

These medical condition include severe nutrient deficiencies, dehydration and organ illnesses, many which are caused by Vicodin usage.  These conditions can cause uncomfortable symptoms which were blocked by the pain killing effect of Vicodin.  These medical conditions need to be resolved before weaning off Vicodin.

What Are Your Options?

Vicodin Detox Solutions:

  1. Go to a state of-the-art-medical detox.  Avoid clinics as they tend to substitute a drug dependency with another. There are a few medical detox centers that can quickly get you off Vicodin with minimal withdrawal symptoms and without causing you to be dependent on another medication in the process.  Call 1-888-840-0927 to speak to an independent Medical detox advisor.  Their advisor services are free and can help you find the right detox center for you.
  2. Seek an “integrative doctor”. An integrative doctor is a medical doctor who also specialized in long- term natural health solutions.  They’re essentially two doctors in one. Unlike ordinary medical practitioners, They’re capable of determining and resolving the very root of your medical symptoms and can help you lower your withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately, they’re often not withdrawal experts and while resolving all of your hidden medical issues will minimize many, if not most, of your painful withdrawal symptoms, there is still more you can do to minimize the rest of your symptoms, which leads us to the next option…
  3. There’s now an At-home Drug withdrawal Program available for those who cannot afford the services of a medical detox center.  It was professionally created to teach you how to withdraw from Vicodin  right in the convenience of your own homes and without  experiencing the dreaded withdrawal symptoms. This program doesn’t replace your integrative doctor as you will need to get examine for hidden medical conditions, but it compliments your doctor’s advice and will help you further minimize your withdrawal symptoms and speed up your recovery.

The At Home Program by DrugRehabAdvisors.com gives you 60 days to test the program.  You can find out more about this program by going to: At Home Drug Withdrawal http://www.drugrehabadvisor.com/at-home-drug-withdrawal/

These options are the best options we know to withdraw from Vicodin and I hope you’ll take full advantage of them.

DrugRehabAdvisor: Review of Methadone Withdrawal At Home Program

Methadone Withdrawal Success Using At Home Detox Program

Just so people know, I have been on methadone for 7 years and was taking between 60-80 mg per day at one time. I am now at 20 mg a day, 10 mg twice a day and will be going to 10 mg per day in 3 days. Tapering off seems to me to be much better than cold turkey. Each person is different and your doctor knows your situation. I thought going from 60 mg a day to 10 mg a day in 12 days was a bit fast, but I wanted out and was willing to give it a try. With Tibor’s At Home Withdrawal program (the vitamins, minerals, yogurt and protein shakes) it is by far the easiest withdrawal I have ever had to do. For those of you who do not know me this is not my first detox rodeo, it is my 3rd and LAST. I still have to deal with my chronic jaw pain, but I am willing to try other things than pain meds

thanks for this wonderful feed back and positive gains you’ve made already, great news. I thought there was some stuff under all these apparent physical problems. Simply by taking control of things you can control, you’ll find that your sphere of control extends out from you. Meaning, as you’re personally doing better, others will also come into check.
Continue on current program. When you’re in the right frame of mind, begin researching into TCM and prostrate issues. There are homeopathic and naturopathic drinks that are the bomb for prostrate issues. Start quickly before any further surgury, meds etc.
IF you can get onto eatting and drinking more alkaline foods and water, you’ll do yourself a lot of good. Cancer can’t grow in an alkaline environment. Alkaline means there are enough trace and macro minerals around.
–> get started on Fish oil. Carlson Cod liver oil in bottle is excellent. This will help with overall anxiety and well being. The epsom salt baths should also help.

Hi Tibor,

I’m now doing the following:
Started taking the specific products for gut and sleep before bed. It seemed to help a good bit. Woke up feeling much less stressed.
Also since I’ve been talking to you I’ve actually been drinking 64oz. plus of water a day which I wasn’t doing prior. I think I may have been a bit dehydrated as well.
I’m also under tremendous stress-Cancer surgery in late June, ( many personal concerns . . . )
With all that going on, because of financial concerns, I was not taking any supplements at all.
I stopped taking sup. about 2 years ago. I wasn’t feeling great and there were very costly.
You seem to have a keen sense of what’s going on with me and that’s really awesome.
Thanks so much.  J

Getting Off Drugs, 3 Golden Rules for Success

Are you or a loved one using drugs and needing to stop? If you’re unsure of what to do or don’t know how to detox comfortably, you could be sabotaging yourself without even knowing it. Knowing the 3 golden rules for successfully getting off drugs is different than following these rules. First let’s give you the 3 rules to getting off drugs.

3 Golden Rules To Getting Off Drugs

  1. requires a plan you or they can easily follow
  2. person is prepared to do full plan before starting detox
  3. all the preliminary checks or tests and OKs are done

Getting Off Drugs: Why People Succeed

Success and accomplishment is planned for. Few people succeed without intending to achieve a goal. Mostly people succeed because they have already succeeded in their minds, and now simply need to follow through in reality.

Getting off drugs is just as simple as envisioning every and all obstacles which could interrupt your or another’s effort to stop drugs.

Important Caution
Most every drug detox or withdrawal program is different depending on what drugs a person is getting off of, their state of health, if there are addiction or dependency issues which also need to be addressed, why they are wanting to get off drugs, and so on.

Getting off drugs the right way: Following these 3 golden rules will ensure successfully getting off drugs every time. But what if your not making it?

There are about 1/2 dozen major steps to do to ensure the 3 golden rules are accomplished. Those steps have conditions, exceptions and medical coordination and so on. But these are the 3 major rules to follow to ensure success in getting off drugs. Let’s keep this simple so anyone could use these 3 golden rules.

Making sure a person succeeds in getting off drugs begins with a thoroughly planned for and successful strategy to make it. Obviously a person getting off heroin will be preparing for different consequences than someone getting off weed. Both drugs often require strategies and major actions to take, but are very different.

Success Is Planned For
Can you imagine deciding to go for a 4 day hike and not putting your shoes on? Probably not. No one could be that unprepared. Yet when people attempt to get off drugs, they don’t even have a checklist of important things to do, take, advice to get, medical checks as needed, complications and their solutions, help in unusual circumstances,…

The final tip I will offer is this. Start envisioning a life without need or dependency to drugs. When you can do that easily, your success in getting off of drugs will be assured. All you have to do is follow the 3 golden rules above and you’ll be drug-free and clean.

Ask Your Doctor about . . .

Ask Your Doctor

Pharmaceutical drugs are being pushed on Americans & Canadians through the ‘Ask Your Doctor’ pharmaceutical drug advertisements.

Have you been told to ‘Ask your doctor about . . . “. These paid ads which have been driving people into see their doctors are being paid for by pharmaceutical companies. These pharmaceutical drugs can be addictive and result in people needing to withdraw or detox later.

Once a person becomes hooked onto a pharmaceutical they may be using for 6 months to 3 years before needing to detox. Withdrawing or detox at home from drugs can be so difficult that drugrehabadvisor.com had to set up a special at home drug withdrawal program to deal with the demand of people needing special help off of pharmacy pills.

Asking your doctor is another way of getting people to possibly end up on unnecessary drugs and become addicted to pills. Obvious not everyone will have trouble with pharmaceuticals. But prescription dependency has taken over as the #1 most prevalent type of addiction in rehab programs after tobacco and alcohol.

Asking your doctor . . . the proper question should be, have you been eating healthy, exercising regularly, keeping a positive mental outlook and getting proper rest? If you haven’t, you should sort yourself out quickly so you don’t have to see your doctor and possibly end up having drug dependency problem later.

www.drugrehabadvisor.com client for at home drug withdrawal program.

Hi Tibor,
I was planning on emailing you an update this week, things have been hectic between Mitch and work. On a very positive note Mitch is doing incredibly well, thanks in large part to your help, he has been feeling really well since about mid last week, and much as I suspected, his headaches have subsided significantly, and when one does come on it doesn’t seem to last as long. He’s still having some trouble establishing a regular sleep pattern, but is continuing to take the supplements and I’m sure with time that will improve too. He has seen a therapist close to us who specializes in addiction issues, they are contacting WCB to see if they will cover the expense but have agreed to see him at no cost for now.
I want you to know, that without your reassurance and advice I’m not sure either of us could have gotten through this, traditional medicine just does not seem well equipped at all when things go sideways. I will stay in contact and let you know how things progress.  Sincere Thanks,
Elizabeth
